Jacques Ducalis (ジャック・デュガリ) is a character in Buriki One. Aside from taking inspiration from David Douillet, his looks was possibly inspired by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Royce Gracie. He is voiced by Eiji Tsuda.
Story[]
A passionate warrior, Ducalis strives to be the world's strongest. Well-known to the public, he has competed in numerous martial arts tournaments and won 2 Olympic gold medals in the open-weight division. Ducalis announced his participation as soon as the tournament itself was announced, he originally planned to participate in the regional qualifiers, but was sent an invitation by tournament headquarters, likely a response to such a well-known figure making such a claim. He enters the tournament determined to prove not only himself as the strongest, but also to prove the true strength of Judo.
Personality[]
A strict, and somewhat hard-headed warrior, there are few as passionate about their fighting styles as Ducalis. This passion for Judo, and martial arts as a whole leads him to go on extensive monologues about discipline. In his Buriki One ending and fan QnA section, his monologues go on long enough that the rest is actually omitted. In his interviews and ending, Ducalis' belief in his own strength and the strength of Judo seems to tow the line of overconfidence, with him considering none of the other competitors a threat, as they do not use Judo.

Ducalis fights with an agressive style of Judo, focusing on throws, takedowns and pins.
