Karin Son (斉天大聖かりん, Seiten Taisei Karin) is the female lead character from Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer. Her powers come from her origins as a priestess. She is based on the mythical Chinese figure, Sun Wukong, and is themed after manga heroes that take on legacies of real life legends and travelers whose journeys bring them to Japan. Her official nickname is Clumsy Heavenly Goddess.
Story[]
Karin was born in a remote village in China and raised kindly by her family since her birth. One day, her father handed her a strange pile of clothes and a small golden rod. He told her her family's greatest secret: they are a clan of heavenly priests who were personally taught by the great Sun Wukong. As the family's eldest child, Karin is designated as the 133rd living successor of their family's craft. Although Karin doubts her father's sincerity, she dons her new title with pride. She rides away from her home atop of Sun Wukong's Candy Cloud.
Karin soon arrives as a student at Bernard High School. She believes that the school's principal is really a villain and wants to beat him to gain proper recognition as the clan's next successor. In her ending, she succeeds but finds more interest in hounding Gowcaizer.
Personality[]
Karin is known as a normal and happy girl. A bit of a scatterbrain, she thinks the best of people and loves to see others smiling. She has a crush on Gowcaizer, even if he always runs away from her.

- Pyrokinesis - Karin can summon pillars of fire.
- Body Doubles - Karin can create tiny replicas of herself to hurt her enemies.
- Extend Rod - Karin can magically extend the length of her weapon.
- Flight - Karin can ride Sun Wukong's Candy Cloud for a time.

Karin wields a large golden bo staff which she can thrust into the ground, sending a wave of fire at her enemies.
