Mamoru Shoda (正田 麻盛, Shoda Mamoru), born sometime in 1957 in Tokyo, is a shakuhachi and shinobue player. He is head of the Shoda-ryu music school and is the leader of the folk band, Shoda-Kai. He aims to spread the art of folk music around the world in a traditional and contemporary style. He is often a supporting musician for NHK's taiga dramas.
