Shizuka Kusanagi

Shizuka Kusanagi (草薙 静, Kusanagi Shizuka) is a character from The King of Fighters series of fighting games. She is a secondary character and is the mother of Kyo Kusanagi and wife of Saisyu Kusanagi. She is voiced by Miho Kaneta.

A member of the Kusanagi clan, Shizuka can control fire -hinted to also be skilled with a naginata (polearm typically used by women)- but she decided to take the role of a housewife. In The King of Fighters: Kyo, Eiji Kisaragi invaded her house, but she sensed him and convinced him to take some tea with her, so he won't mess her recently cleaned house.

Shizuka loves her family, but she won't take any actions relating to fighting. She is very calm and kind-hearted. She also has a good poker face, looking and acting placid when furious, and is able to scare her husband with a single glance.

- Pyrokinesis - Due to her Kusanagi heritage, Shizuka can control fire.
- Sense - She can sense people nearby.
